Finland’s Weekend Festival promises massive laser show
As the August 2nd date fast approaches when the gates open on Finland’s Weekend Festival, organizers have revealed a new commitment to the event production. Alongside the incredible line-up of artists, fans can expect a visual display unlikely any seen in the region.
Taking place August 2nd to the 3rd, the Weekend Festival provides fans of Finland and the entire region a great opportunity to experience the energy of sets from the likes of Alesso, R3HAB, Timmy Trumpet, Alan Walker, and many more. The two-day event is centered via the Espoo Vermo Arena and will offer three unique stages for attendees. While the music is certainly the focal point, organizers are devoting plenty of time and energy to creating a visual display unlike anything seen in the Nordic region.
Today, organizers are revealing their commitment to craft the largest laser show in the region and one that will top the massive visual component that defined the 2014 edition of the Weekend Festival. Built by renowned designer Jack Fone and A Light Productions, the event will require special permissions from the Finnish radiation and light authorities to accommodate the 66 laser fixtures and over 1,250 watts of laser power.
“According to our values, our festival is a constantly developing amusement park-like experience that goes beyond the traditional festival experience. We strive to offer something new and exciting every year and create an environment that keeps festival-goers coming back again and again. We can’t wait to share this year’s experiences with the public. We are proud to be able to offer our guests much more than just a music festival. We believe that attention to detail and visual appearance are key to creating an unforgettable festival experience. Our mission is to inspire, surprise, and refresh festival-goers in every possible way.”
-Weekend Festival Marketing Director Atro Anttila
The custom-built stage will further feature 150 m² of mirror walls, over 220 lighting fixtures, and 5,300 watts of lighting. These installations will be utilized alongside the two DJ booths, one being a 360-degree podium amid the crowd, which will surely provide one of the most unique fan experiences in the festival industry. Grab passes today for the upcoming Weekend Festival and to witness a laser spectacle never before seen in the Nordic region.
