Certainly a collaboration we didn't see coming soon, Will Ferrell has linked up with the Swedish House Mafia boys in what is a promotion for an upcoming event in Chicago which will see them play together. So far, the trio have even gone so far as to change their profile picture on Instagram to one of Will Ferrell.

In a video posted to socials, Will Ferrell and Swedish House Mafia link up to promote an upcoming show.

Completely random but for a good cause, the trio and the actor have decided to link up to perform a show together as a benefit for Cancer for College, a charity that has been providing college scholarships, medical debt relief & educational experiences for Cancer Survivors since 1993. An organisation that is close to Ferrell’s heart having supported it for many years, he has hosted benefits before, once with Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. Previously, he has also organised auctions and other events.

This also isn’t Will Ferrell’s first venture into the world of electronic music either, having DJed at his son’s frat party and also ‘revealing’ himself to be Marshmello in a viral video.

Taking place at the Wintrust Arena on 26 October, ticket details have not yet been released but are expected to follow shortly.
