AlphaTheta Set To Discontinue Lyrics On RekordBox
In November 2024, AlphaTheta will discontinue the Lyric feature in rekordbox for Mac/Windows.
In a recent announcement, AlphaTheta (parent company of Pioneer DJ) has decided to discontinue the Lyrics feature. Rekordbox Lyrics, introduced in 2018, initially required a monthly subscription to the Lyrics, Creative, or Professional plans. However, recent changes mean that while the Creative and Professional plans continue to offer other valuable features, they no longer include the Lyrics feature. This change affects the ability to sync song lyrics with graphics in real-time within Rekordbox, a feature that was popular among users.
AlphaTheta hasn’t provided a reason for discontinuing the feature, but they have emailed this to everyone with a Rekordbox account. Lyrics will be discontinued for Windows and Mac Users on November 30, 2024. The company has provided an updated FAQ link for more information
