NERO shares final single ahead of upcoming third album: Listen
After a nine-year gap since their last album was released, NERO has been delivering new music throughout 2024. The iconic trio has now released the final single from their upcoming third album.
Fans of NERO have been excited to see the trio of Dan Stephens, Joe Ray, and Alana Watson finally return to the stage together in recent years and provide details for the group’s long-overdue third album. Following the release of Between II Worlds in 2015, the group stepped away from the spotlight, often taking gigs as just a duo with Stephens and Ray DJing without support from Watson’s live vocals. Now the trio is under two weeks away from the release of Into The Unknown and has shared the powerful new single Solar with the world.
Throughout the album rollout, NERO has shown that they are unafraid to explore new concepts and styles. The album announcement first arrived with the track The Truth which featured a poem read by Amanda Palmer instead of Alana Watson’s vocals. Solar instead gives Watson the spotlight she rightly deserves, as a subtle lead and pads open the single, her voice quickly takes over, commanding listeners’ attention. The chorus refrain of, “So see me in the stars, its solar, it’s where I want to be, we’ve come so far, this moment, this moment was meant for you to see me in the stars,” harkens back to the timeless melodies of Promises.
With Solar, NERO can showcase all of its strongest songwriting and production powers all at once. Listen to the new single as anticipation for the new album, Into The Unknown builds ahead of August 16th.
