This past weekend, on August 17th, Peggy Gou headlined a massive Gunnerbury Park festival in London for her legion of fans. With opening sets from Mochakk, LSDXOXO, Sally C & Hiver, fans were excited for an afternoon of music and entertainment. Sadly it seems that a good time was not had by all in attendance. Comments on Gou's Instagram promoting the event reveal multiple dissatisfied attendees. Comments such as "Truly awful music! £60 wow. I’ve been so underwhelmed. Note to self: swerve these events next summer. How to feel part of the ‘rave corporate machine’…." are not uncommon on the post. Fans choose to spend their money and time to experience a magical afternoon and the consensus from the comments seems that it was not the case.

Peggy Gou has emerged in recent years as a trendsetter for music and fashion. Unfortunately, fans were less than impressed with the artist following her recent Gunnerbury Park event.

Another attendee wrote, “yesterday was absolutely terrible. The music was a mess, the transitions were sloppy, and the energy was completely flat. It was a total waste of time and money. I can’t believe how bad it was—such a huge letdown!” While fans are free to have their own opinions regarding music and performances, it isn’t often that so many on social media are so readily aligned. One user sufficiently summed it up, tagging a fellow attendee and writing, “Look at all the negative comments @malenaederer – we weren’t the only disappointed ones 🙈” At this time, Peggy Gou hasn’t responded to the criticisms.
