Stockholms Auktionsverk unveils The Avicii Collection: A charity auction
Stockholms Auktionsverk will host The Avicii Collection, a unique charity auction showcasing personal items from the late Tim “Avicii” Bergling. Recognized as one of the most influential producers, artists, and songwriters of our time, Bergling’s impact continues to resonate globally. This auction, curated by his family, offers 267 lots without reserve or commission, ranging from sneakers and clothing to musical instruments and memorabilia.
All proceeds will go directly to The Tim Bergling Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of young people. The foundation, established in Bergling’s memory, aims to carry forward his legacy by addressing crucial issues in mental health.
Cecilia Gave, CEO of Stockholms Auktionsverk, expressed pride in presenting the auction. She emphasized the significance of Bergling’s influence, both through his music and the ongoing work of the foundation. Gave highlighted the auction house’s long-standing tradition of preserving cultural heritage, considering it a privilege to contribute to such a meaningful cause.
The live auction will take place on October 1 at Nybrogatan 32 in Stockholm, with online participation available. Additionally, public viewing at the venue is scheduled from September 24 to 30. Furthermore, the auction catalog, limited in print, will be available starting September 6, coinciding with the online publication of the auction details.
As Stockholms Auktionsverk celebrates its 350th anniversary, this event not only serves as a testament to its enduring legacy in the world of auctions but also bridges history and future with every item that goes under the hammer.
