Zedd debuts new music and content via Roblox

With fans growing ever more anxious for the third Zedd album to arrive, the producer has shared more new music via the digital world. The video game-loving artist has joined the world of Roblox, giving fans an exciting opportunity to hear new songs and engage with exciting content.

Never one to hide his love for video games, Zedd has now immersed himself into the world of Beat Galaxy and Roblox ahead of the release of his third album, Telos. The concept of Beat Galaxy was created by Universal Music Group (UMG) with help from Supersocial to provide a virtual landscape for artists to promote their music. Fans of Zedd will be able to collect shards of glass from the Telos album artwork that can be redeemed for limited edition UGC items and an exclusive emote called the “Zabb.” With an additional option to pre-save the album via Spotify, players can earn additional perks before being prompted to stream it upon release.

Since Beat Galaxy was launched in 2023, it has helped garner 84 million impressions from ads on Roblox with half a million unique visitors engaging with the space. For the team at UMG, it has allowed them to offer their artists a new way to connect with fans and promote new releases. As the first electronic artist to takeover Beat Galaxy, Zedd is breaking new ground as he begins another chapter of his history career. Discussing the excitement of the current release, Alvaro Velilla, Senior Vice President, New Business at UMG stated, “Zedd’s Beat Galaxy activation will be the first time a UMG-signed artist leverages Spotify’s pre-save feature in the Roblox platform, paving a path for other major artists to further drive music discovery through virtual worlds and gamified experiences.
