Firing on all cylinders when it comes to the release radar lately, Armin van Buuren has been pleasing fans with a steady stream of singles this year. His latest, however, takes the remake route. ‘Pulstar‘ is directly inspired by iconic composer Vangelis‘ track of the same name, first released on the 1976 album ‘Albedo 0.39‘.
“Back in 2021 I went to Paris with my friend @andre_kuipers_officieel to meet the legend Vangelis right before his unfortunate passing, which was such an honor as he was a massive inspiration for me.
Fast forward to today, I’m incredibly honored to bring you Pulstar, my remake of one of Vangelis’s classics! I made this one for @andre_kuipers_officieel’s upcoming movie called ‘Beyond: Ode To The Earth’. Super honored to be part of this and hope you all enjoy the track as much as I did making it. Thank you Andre for thinking of me to join in on this amazing project” says Armin via Instagram.
As mentioned above, the track is taken from ‘Beyond: Ode To The Earth’ an upcoming film that showcases the beauty of the earth from the vantage point of space, whilst also being a tribute to Vangelis himself. Armin’s version of ‘Pulstar’ stays true to his signature style whilst also paying respect to Vangelis. Listen to it below, and don’t forget to let us know what you think of it.
