The hottest concerts and music festivals in Europe to look forward to next year
Some say Europe is home to the very first festival, or at least something that qualifies as a festival. It was apparently the Pythian Games held in 582 BC in Ancient Greece. While the US has “invented” the music festivals as we know them today, it would be unfair to say Europe is lagging behind. What’s worth your money next year?
Music Festivals in Europe Worth Visiting in 2025
Festivals and concerts may ultimately serve the same purpose, but the energy and experience is different. There’s something about the gathering of that many people, isn’t there? Also, the preparation is much different. Festival preparation requires more effort, from packing essentials like tents and backpacks to looking for an Oakley sunglasses shop to make sure you complement your festival look. It’s all part of the charm.
Tomorrowland (Belgium)
The one where electronic beats rise like summer heat and everything feels a bit too much, but also just right. A tribe of loosely connected individuals who somehow, despite the logistical trouble, find their way to Belgium from all over the globe. From 9,000 people in 2005, to 400,000 this year. The commercial success didn’t change the energy of Tomorrowland though. It’s still the same event that cherishes good electronic dance music and combines it with unique and quirky festival themes.
Glastonbury Festival (UK)
I always had an impression Glastonbury is more of a pilgrimage than a festival. Mass of people walking through mud, finding solace in makeshift tents and eating overpriced falafel. Even when it rains, and it does more often than not, the mud becomes more of a character than a nuisance. Those in love with arts, especially contemporary performing arts, Glastonbury Festival is the place to be.
Exit Festival (Serbia)
Exit Festival is probably one of the best success stories in the world of festivals. It combines the old Petrovaradin Fortress with modern music. Despite its humble beginnings, it quickly became one of the most attended regional festivals, winning the Best Major Festival award twice, and the Best European Festival award at the UK Festival Awards once. The lineup is always great, and the best thing about it – there’s something for everyone. From rock to EDM and hip hop.
Hottest Concerts in Europe for 2025
While some may argue we don’t get as many tour dates as North America for example, Europe is still one of the most popular destinations for world musicians. Some say it’s the romance of Europe, but really it’s more about the cheap flights between countries and major cities. London to Amsterdam? Barely an hour. Compared to North America, musicians can cover a lot of big cities in shorter time. Can’t complain about that.
Billie Eilish
“Hit me hard and soft” world tour was announced in support of Billie’s third studio album, and Europe is part of it. The tour starts in Quebec in September this year and will continue through North America until December. Australia is next, and after the Australian tour ends in March 2025, Billie is coming to Europe from April to July 2025. We can’t wait to see Billie live!
Imagine Dragons
One of the best-selling music artists is coming to Europe next year. Despite receiving hate from some people (like most commercially successful bands), these “dragons” are flying high and they are not planning to stop any time soon. The band from Las Vegas has confirmed dates across several major European cities and we can’t wait to see them live. Good luck on your tour boys!
Twenty One Pilots
Next year, Europe will host the unorthodox duo whose beats possess a life of their own. Tyler and Josh have conquered the world with their unique and frenetic style, making their way to plenty of ears around the world. They have a solid fan base in Europe, which expects to greet them in all major European cities. The band is on a major tour called The Clancy World Tour and will traverse North America, New Zealand, Australia, Europe and the UK.
Toto
There’s always something magical about seeing bands from the 80s live nowadays. Toto has a legendary status and we’re very happy to see them coming to Europe in 2025. Interestingly enough, out of the three million daily streams on Spotify, 52% of those streams were from those younger than 35. Toto might see some fairly young faces in the audience.
