Boris Brejcha & Diplo combine on ‘Save My Soul’: Listen

Unexpectedly, the minimal techno king Boris Brejcha and dance music icon Diplo have combined their distinct talents on Save My Soul which is out now on Boris’ record label Fckng Serious.

You never know what to expect from Diplo these days. From playing 13 times in 3 nights at this year’s Burning Man to releasing tracks in a plethora of different genres, Diplo is a jack of all trades. Boris Brejcha on the other hand, is determined to cement his reputation further by playing breathtaking shows all over the globe and releasing impressive music. However, no one would have predicted that the 2 aforementioned acts would work together on a production. Well, that is exactly what occurred. Their brand new collaborative single Save My Soul is out now on Boris Brejcha’s record label Fckng Serious.

Diplo jokingly described the creation process on his Instagram:

“Boris, I only met you once, it was for 19 seconds but I gave you my e-mail and we made this song over WhatsApp, so dreams can come true.”

The collaboration itself sparked a lot of controversy among Boris Brejcha fans, most of them stating that he has officially gone mainstream. While the style of the vocals and the involvement of Diplo might suggest that Save My Soul leans more towards the mainstream waters, it is simply not the case. The signature Boris Brejcha production style is still present as the rolling minimal techno bass glides through the track. Filled with emotional resonance, Save My Soul is not just a club banger, but also a deeply emotional track. Diplo is well known for working with many talented vocalists and he has 100 percent left his mark on Save My Soul. The vocalist’s name is unknown at the moment.

All in all, Boris Brejcha and Diplo’s first collaborative effort definitely has fans excited for some future projects.
