Dom Dolla and Nelly Furtado earn gold record for ‘Eat Your Man’

Last year Dom Dolla teamed up with pop superstar Nelly Furtado for the infectious single, Eat Your Man. The track has now reached a momentous milestone within the recording industry.

When it was first announced that Dom Dolla and Nelly Furtado, the music industry was caught off guard as the Promiscuous vocalist hadn’t shared new music in six years. To re-emerge alongside the rising producer in Dom Dolla was an unexpected yet welcome surprise for fans worldwide. Their joint effort Eat Your Man allowed the producer to continue to showcase his feel-good vibes while Furtado’s distinctive vocals made the track a ready-ready smash. Just over a year later, the single has earned gold in the recording industry. Via Instagram, Dom Dolla stated:

this is a special one… Ms. Nelly Furtado popped in to surprise me over the weekend, it turns out our song “eat your man” has just gone gold 📀🏆😇 this comes as a big surprise to both of us, as we wanted to write a club record. no pop structure, no video clip. just one hook, a great bassline and a few extra bits to spike your interest. But above all else… we wanted something for all the DJs out there to rinse on a saturday evening. special shout out to our homie anjulie for her contribution to the vocal and wayne sunderland for his great job on mastering. we’re so glad you all like the tune as much as we do 🙏🏼❤️ 🍻 x

The two artists celebrated the achievement together as Nelly Furtado surprised Dom Dolla at a recent show. The star took the stage to sing the Eat Your Man as well, providing an extra spark for the fans in attendance. Congrats to both of them on this incredible achievement.
