Fish56Octagon unveils new record label Octagon Discs
The British DJ and producer has just announced the news of a new record label, along with the first official release.
After a big couple of years playing at some of the most iconic festivals in Europe and edging closer and closer to 1M followers on social media, Fish56Octagon is taking the next big leap in his growing career, and has announced a record label. Titled Octagon Discs, the label is in partnership with Another Rhythm which has previously seen releases from the likes of Jax Jones, HUGEL, JADED and many more.
With Fish56Octagon known for being a tastemaker with the tracks he showcases on social media, it only makes sense for him to add label head to his CV. Announced just a few days ago, the label is starting off strong with its first release from Groove Armada and Declan Knapp, ‘Superstylin‘. What started off as Declan Knapp sending this track to Fish56Octagon earlier in the year then grew into becoming a staple in his sets across the hectic festival season, leading to this moment.
“It’s been incredible to produce a new version of it in my own style. Although that first version is timeless, I wanted to put a modern take on it and deliver a new and exciting sound that elevates the very power of the original. The overwhelmingly positive reception for the track means a lot to me, and I am glad that I could do it justice.” – Declan Knapp.
