Fred again.. releases ‘Just Stand There’ official video featuring SOAK: Watch
Fred Again.. and SOAK team up for the official release of ‘Just Stand There’ music video.
Fred again.. has released the official video for his poignant track ‘Just Stand There,’ featuring the hauntingly beautiful vocals of SOAK. The song is one of the standout pieces from his latest album, ‘Ten Days’, and the video perfectly captures the emotional intensity and stillness of the song.
In a recent statement, Fred shared insights into the creation of the video, revealing that it was filmed just a day before SOAK returned to Dublin. He reflected on the initial moment the lyrics were spoken aloud by SOAK in his living room, describing them as “beautifully vivid.” For Fred, this song encapsulates “a small intimate, very still moment,” and the video was designed to recreate that same sense of quiet intensity. With its understated aesthetic, the visual allows the raw emotion of the lyrics and music to shine through, amplifying the stillness Fred aimed to convey.
The track ‘Just Stand There’ is part of Fred again..’s broader project, Ten Days, which boasts an impressive lineup of collaborators. In addition to SOAK, the album features contributions from a wide array of artists, including Obongjayar, Jozzy, Jim Legxacy, Sampha, Anderson .Paak, CHIKA, Duskus, Four Tet, Skrillex, Joy Anonymous, Emmylou Harris, The Japanese House, and Scott Hardkiss. Each artist brings their unique energy to the album, creating a richly textured sonic landscape that spans genres and emotions.
Meanwhile, Fred again.. is currently in the midst of his Places We’ve Never Been headline tour, which is taking him across North America. The tour, running through September and October, includes stops in cities like Denver, Seattle, Detroit, Buffalo, and Toronto, with more dates to follow.
