Fred again.., a name synonymous with dance music’s emotional depth, has consistently turned life’s everyday moments into powerful tracks. Despite performing on massive stages like Coachella and Glastonbury, he has the rare ability to infuse grand performances with a sense of personal intimacy. In his earlier Actual Life albums, Fred used real-life samples to capture the essence of human experience, making listeners feel as if they were right there with him.

His latest release, ten days, takes that connection even further. The album, which Fred describes as embodying “very small quiet intimate moments,” brings together an eclectic mix of collaborators, including Sampha, Skrillex, Joy Anonymous, and Emmylou Harris. This collection of 10 songs and 10 interludes seamlessly blends into a cohesive narrative, offering listeners a journey through Fred’s most personal moments.

Fred shared his thoughts on the album, saying, “These are ten songs about ten days. There’s been a lot of big mad crazy moments in the last year, but I realized that almost all the ones that I was most sorta shaped by were the really very small quiet intimate moments. Some of them are like the most intensely joyful things I’ve ever felt, and some of them are not that.”

The release of ten days follows Fred’s groundbreaking performances at the Reading & Leeds Festival during the August bank holiday weekend. There, he notably made history as the first dance/electronic artist to headline the festival.
