Tycho releases stunning new album ‘Infinite Health’: Listen
American producer Tycho has released his comprehensive new album, “Infinite Health”, honing in on a more electronic-based production style.
“Infinte Health“, calls in a new era for Tycho as he has released his new album into the world this past week. Looking forward to a new future, Scott Hansen (Tycho) has also called upon Grizzly Bear’s Chris Taylor and guitarist Zac Brown to piece each track together. In the build-up to the new LP, fans were treated to contrasting pieces, with the introduction of “Phantom” back in June, and “Devices” and “Green” in July.
The album in its entirety is a masterstroke, a well-rounded work that brings us numerous special moments throughout. With the title track alone, “Infinite Health”, he draws upon the percussive genius of drummer extraordinaire Kaelin Ellis as it also features vocals from Cautious Clay. The penultimate track, “Totem,” also plays out as one of the highlights – an offspring of jamming sessions between Hansen and Brown as they aspired to create an electronic blend inspired by the likes of Daft Punk and Justice.
Reflecting upon his latest sonic endeavor, the two-time Grammy-nominated artist explained the originality behind his latest full work;
“Infinite Health is about creating a space for reflection, a mantra for spiritual, emotional, and physical healing. Ultimately, all we really have is our health – both physical and mental – and we wish infinite health to our family and friends. So in those ways, infinite health is a salutation and an imperative.”
Tycho will celebrate the release of ‘Infinite Health’ with a North American tour beginning with a three-night residency at The Roxy in Los Angeles, across the 4-6 September and ending in November in Minneapolis.
