Maddy O’Neal – “Run It Back”

The ever-evolving, electro-soul powerhouse Maddy O’Neal is gearing up towards her next big artistic statement. Over the course of her career, the Denver-based artist has galvanized fans across the nation with her magnetic soulful bass stylings and hypnotic, hybrid DJ/drum pad live performances. O’Neal is now revving toward her next full-length LP, VITAL SIGNS. Centered around themes of personal evolution – and navigating the emotional waves that come with a changing interior and exterior world – VITAL SIGNS will see O’Neal explore a bevy of genres, and forge her artistic throughline within a wide swath of soundscapes. Now, the versatile artist unveils the LP’s second single “Run It Back,” a collaboration with Three 6 Mafia co-founder DJ Paul and jamtronica keyboardist/producer Jason Leech. Fusing the virtuosic sensibilities of its three creators, “Run It Back” is a grandiose showcase of trunk-rattling production, shimmering keyboard melodies, and a heavy dose of Memphis hip-hop swagger. The track was the last one made for VITAL SIGNS, and represents a seamless creative partnership between two electronic virtuosos and the rap legend DJ Paul – who Maddy O’Neal met through a three-month bus tour with Cherub.

REMNANT.exe – “Let It Go”

Emerging artist REMNANT.exe introduces his latest release, “Let It Go,” infusing the wave genre with a relaxed yet dynamic energy. The track’s crisp, uncomplicated production effortlessly embodies the core of wave, offering a perfect listening experience for those drawn to chilled beats and seamless flow.

Following the success of his “Internet Crush” remix, which has amassed millions of streams, and standout singles like “Singularity” and “the way I was,” REMNANT.exe has cemented himself as a leading figure in the wave scene and beyond. Known for tracks that tell a story and deliver a powerful punch, REMNANT.exe continues to rise as an artist to watch, leaving an undeniable mark with each release.

MrJay – “Reverie

With the release of ‘Reverie EP,’ MRJay delivers a collection that truly encapsulates his unique style, blending elements of Wave, Phonk, and adjacent genres into a cohesive, immersive experience. Opening the EP is “Vibrant,” a track that showcases the Wave genre in its purest form. The drop arrives with a force that echoes the power and energy typical of the genre. Moving forward, “Another Life” shifts gears, offering a more percussion-driven, chill vibe. The female vocals weave a deep emotional thread through the track, culminating in a smooth, satisfying drop.

Taking a darker, more experimental turn, “Forgotten Age” lures listeners into a laid-back, ethereal soundscape. This track hypnotizes from start to finish, contrasting sharply with the more upbeat tones of the EP’s earlier offerings. As the EP progresses, “Finality Or Final Dance” deepens the mysterious atmosphere, infusing chill trap influences into the percussion while maintaining an overall tranquil vibe. The EP reaches its climax with “Break Away,” an anthemic closer that elevates the listener’s spirit, bringing the entire journey to a euphoric conclusion.

smalltalk – “Snapback”

Bi-Coastal bass duo smalltalk have been putting their unique stamp on the underground with a sound that moves from trap to 140, experimental bass, and beyond. Hot off a release on Boogie T’s Drama Club Records the pair make their debut on FUXWITHIT. ‘Snapback’ is a wonky 140 dubstep anthem that’s equal parts gritty and addictive.

“Snapback” is a shadowy banger built for renegade raves, late-night forest festivals, and dank basement sets. Pitched-down and looped rap vocals give the track a menacing swagger that’s amplified by the gritty sound design, cavernous bass, and snappy drum programming. The simple vocal is pitched, looped, and flipped giving it a catchy hook that pulls you through the darkness. The distorted basslines offer soul-shaking low end that will rattle your entire sense of being. Monstrous growls, shifting frequencies, and subtle ear candy round out the sound for a truly masterful 140 heater.
