BEONIX 2024: post-event review
Electronic music fans in Cyprus recently experienced the excitement of the BEONIX Festival. The event’s return in 2024 marked its largest iteration yet.
Featuring over 50 artists, BEONIX Festival brought massive talent to the fans of Cyprus and celebrated the event’s first sell-out. With Tale Of Us, ARTBAT, Miss Monique, and Fatboy Slim amongst the headliners, organizers ensured that fans were treated to non-stop entertainment over the weekend. With four stages to choose from, fans had plenty of options to choose from and explore throughout the event. Looking to the future of music, the Garden Stage also provided young DJs the opportunity to perform at the event, many of them making their major festival debut.
Walking the festival grounds delivered a magical experience as fans were confronted by the sights and imagery of the event organizers. BEONIX ensured that attendees were confronted with plenty of visual stimulation, whether it be from the costumed participants to the wide variety of concessions available throughout. Of course, the true highlights came from the four stages, each one offering a stunning backdrop to the artist’s performances. Perfectly located within the beauty of Cyprus, the festival grounds offered stunning views that complemented the surrounding region and allowed fans to get lost in the scenery.
The fans themselves were excited and energized throughout which truly speaks to the power of music bringing together individuals and the global voice that it has. While there is no doubt that many attendees lived in Cyprus, the event captured a larger audience and provided a wonderful opportunity for those who live outside the country to make the trek to Cyprus.
The music was of course the highlight and sets from Fatboy Slim, ARTBAT, and Tale of Us stood out and offered powerful reminders of why they are all global headliners. Of course, the organizers did a great job of diversifying the artists and sets from Markus Lee, Shall Ocin, and the live set from Gheist offered great opportunities to experience sounds and sights outside of the mainstream. One of the can’t miss sets of the weekend certainly went to Claptone who delivered a powerful display behind his iconic mask.

As the artists entertained the crowds, the stages at BEONIX certainly elevated the experience and mood for all involved. The incredible use of video screens and lights offered a stunning display from stage to stage. While the main stage offered all the massiveness and technology that is expected from a large festival, the other stages were spectacles themselves, utilizing the space and lighting to make sure that every artist and guest was able to experience the attention to detail throughout the grounds.
Festival organizers raved about the event’s success, stating, “We see the festival expanding every year. Each time, more people join us, many of whom fly in from other countries, which is fantastic. For many, the festival is not just about the music, but also an opportunity to explore the island, experience Cypriot culture, and enjoy traditional cuisine. Plus, the festival takes place at the end of September, when the main festival season has already ended. Here in Cyprus, it’s still warm, and you can swim in the sea in the morning and dance to your favorite DJs in the evening. This year, we had 25,000 visitors over the course of three days, and on Saturday, we experienced our first-ever sold-out show.”
Don’t miss out on the excitement of BEONIX 2025 as early bird tickets are already on sale. This year’s edition shows the organizer’s commitment to delivering a top-tier festival for the fans in Cyprus.
