Fatboy Slim announces upcoming single ‘Bus Stop Please’
Following the landmark 500th release on Southern Fried, which featured Fatboy Slim track ‘Role Model’ back in May, the iconic dance music artist returns with another energetic dancefloor anthem. On November 8, he collaborates with prolific Berlin-based talent and Arms & Legs imprint boss Daniel Steinberg for the quirky vocal-led club cut ‘Bus Stop Please’.
This release aligns perfectly with Norman’s legendary weekender All Back To Minehead and upcoming performances at Drumsheds in London and WHP in Manchester.
Occasionally, a record captivates listeners instantly, and ‘Bus Stop Please’ does just that. This track blends contemporary Fatboy Slim flavors with Steinberg’s unique sound, which has earned recognition from Defected, Club Sweat, and Play It Down. From the outset, the song delivers an exhilarating ride with its chunky grooves, rich bass tones, and modulating synths, anchored by an unforgettable vocal centerpiece.
The track takes inspiration from the Fat Back Band’s dance culture and, furthermore, embodies an ’80s revival of ’70s dance music. Fatboy Slim combines the Charlie Green Bus Stop sample with Steinberg’s original track ‘Albatross’, ultimately leading to this fresh creation.
Accompanying the release, an immersive AI-generated music video, crafted in collaboration with creative director Omar Karim, aims to inspire viewers to perform random acts of kindness with each play. In addition, ‘Bus Stop Please’ represents a bold sonic palette that defies cookie-cutter dance records, embodying creativity, fun, and euphoric moments. Pre-save the single here.
