Paul van Dyk marks 30 years of ‘For An Angel’ with double-vinyl release
Few tracks in dance music history evoke raw emotion like Paul van Dyk iconic ‘For An Angel.’ This timeless masterpiece, first released in 1994 on his debut album ‘45 RPM,’ showcases instrumental dance music at its peak. In 1998, it reached legendary status with the ‘E-Werk Remix,’ paying homage to the Berlin nightclub where van Dyk once held a residency. The track’s powerful melody and driving beat propelled it to international acclaim, even topping the UK Dance Chart and earning Gold certification.
To celebrate its 30th anniversary, van Dyk is releasing a special double-vinyl edition on October 25. This exclusive collection not only features his revered ‘E-Werk Club Mix,’ but also fresh remixes from Öwnboss, Julian Jeweil, LOUT, and Kolonie, as well as classics from Filo and Peri, Activa, and Miika Kuisma. The new remixes showcase talents from diverse dance music genres. Öwnboss, a Brazilian house sensation, recently collaborated with Tiësto, while techno artist Julian Jeweil brings his signature Drumcode sound. LOUT, the German duo known for topping Beatport’s charts, offers a progressive touch, while London-based Kolonie and trance veterans Activa and Filo and Peri provide their unique interpretations. Finnish producer Miika Kuisma wraps up the package with a progressive spin.
