The takeover by REAPER is continuing as the drum and bass producer has just raised the bar by releasing the deluxe version of his latest album ‘CHALLENGER.’

If you couldn’t get enough of the masked producer known as REAPER, then fear not because he has answered the call by giving the world the deluxe edition of his latest album ‘CHALLENGER,’ and it only raises the thrill ride of the original project to another level. With six new tracks, REAPER finishes this monumental chapter of his career with a huge bang that will knock your socks off.

Continuing the adrenaline rush from where he left off with the original ending track ‘Crossing Lines’ with AMAGII, REAPER starts the deluxe portion off by giving us his single ‘SECONDS’ with Stace Cadet. Next comes a new track, ‘SURFACING,’ which features a beautiful female vocal and infectious synths that feel almost trance-like with how spacious they sound. Following that is what might be one of the most intriguing tracks REAPER has made to date in ‘CURRENT.’ The track tailors all its sound elements around a repeating vocal phrase and never overshines it. It’s a nice contrast in the project as it shows the versatility of REAPER, with the track being more minimalistic.

Then REAPER returns to all systems go in his latest hard-hitting single with Pirapus, ‘BLOW THE ROOF.’ ‘ROWDY’ with PERSONA NON GRATA is for the biggest lovers of REAPER’s aggressive drum and bass. It’s exactly what the title suggests, and it’s a blast of pure fun. The track is loud with extreme metal elements and features arguably one of the heaviest guitar parts that REAPER has ever put in a song. The final song of the deluxe album and the CHALLENGER era is one with AMAGII and TINYKVT, ‘WORLDS AWAY.’ The first part of this track is not how you would expect it to go as REAPER dives into the world of techno with his first drop. Once again showing his versatility. As the female and male vocals trade-off, the track finds its way back to that iconic REAPER sound for one last time to end the project.

The CHALLENGER era will be looked back on in REAPER’S career as a defining time that highlighted just how special of a producer he is and his impact on the drum and bass scene. It’s been a fun ride, and now it’s time to see the next evolution of REAPER.
