Two of techno’s great powerhouses have teamed up to release a brand new EP full of rhythm and energy.  Eli Brown and Adam Beyer have released their first collaboration on Drumcode, giving their fans an EP packed with two tracks they’ve been waiting to hear for a long time. The two-track ‘Overdose Of Bass’ is now available to download or stream on all major platforms.

This debut collaboration marks Eli Brown’s return to Adam Beyer’s Drumcode after January’s ‘When I Push’, which saw him team up with Layton Giordani and OFFAIAH, and his incredible 2022 EP ‘Deep Down’. So Eli is no stranger to Drumcode or Beyer, with whom he first played a B2B set in Portugal in September at Lisbon’s Brunch Electronik. That set was highly acclaimed for its rich combination of sounds and musical symbiosis, something that is very evident in this studio work. The ‘Overdose Of Bass’ EP perfectly combines the styles of these two techno titans, allowing their influences and experience to shine through. It is also another fine addition to the list of releases from Adam Beyer, who seems as unstoppable as ever.

The title track ‘Overdose Of Bass’ is a club-ready tune with a catchy vocal that immediately sticks in your head. You can clearly hear Eli Brown’s elastic and acidic sounds, but also Beyer’s industrial layers. It has very strong percussion and synths that navigate between an organic sensuality and the edge of a robotic voice. It’s modern, rhythmic and a direct invitation to the dancefloor.

‘Living In The Moment’ brings a sharper, darker sound, penetrated by drier, heavier percussion that contrasts with a fluttering vocal. Like the other track, the contrasts are very well worked out, bringing a perfect balance between sweet and sour. The build up is very melodic and ethereal, leading the way to a powerful breakdown.

These are two very powerful tracks, full of rhythm and bass, perfect for enjoying a club season of the highest quality. Listen to them below:
