Black Coffee reflects on returning to music after plane accident
South African DJ and producer Black Coffee recently shared the challenges he faced returning to work after a traumatic plane incident earlier this year. The accident, which took place on January, left him with injuries and a lingering fear of flying. Despite this, his passion for music and dedication to connecting with fans helped him push forward.
Reflecting on his European tour and Hï Ibiza residency, Black Coffee expressed gratitude for the support he received from fans, saying, “The love of serving music and spreading love is much bigger.” After months of recovery at home with his family, he returned to the stage with renewed energy, delivering powerful performances that made each show memorable. His tour this summer became a journey of healing, with each performance reaffirming his commitment to his art and audience.
Earlier this year, fans and fellow artists showed their support following news of Black Coffee’s accident. During his recovery, he took much-needed time to rest, sharing updates and leaning on family for strength.
As he wrapped up the tour, he thanked everyone who joined him, describing the summer shows as “the perfect way to say see you next year EU & UK!” Check out the full message below:
