Chris Stussy releases highly requested Moby remix: Listen
When Chris Stussy was preparing for his Boiler Room set in Edinburgh, he crafted a remix for his intro. Unexpectedly to the producer, the edit became one of the most requested releases from his fans.
Taking inspiration from the 1991 Moby track Go, Chris Stussy reworked the original and crafted an intro edit for his Boiler Room appearance. While he expected the remix to be unique to the performance, his fans had other ideas. They latched on to the track and continuously called for Stussy to officially release the remix. The campaign paid off as the Go remix hit streaming platforms on November 1st.
Leaning heavily on many of the original elements and style, Chris Stussy takes the 1991 track and provides a modern flourish and production. When discussing his intentions and process, he states, “This was initially intended to be an intro edit for my Boiler Room set in Edinburgh, but ‘Go’ has been one of my most requested IDs for the last couple of months. Since the original is such an iconic tune, I tried to use two main elements, the strings and vocals, and added my touch to give it a more dancefloor-esque vibe. I love to play it in almost every set.”
