David Guetta shares touching tribute to Quincy Jones
The passing of music legend Quincy Jones has sent reverberations throughout the industry. David Guetta took time to celebrate and honor the incredible producer’s life and career.
When news of Quincy Jones’ passing arrived today, artists and fans around the world quickly took to social media to remember the legend and share their favorite songs and records from his illustrious career. One of those fans was David Guetta who looked back on getting to meet Jones several years ago at the Grammys. In the Instagram post, Guetta discussed his love for Jones’ work, especially that on Michael Jackson’s Thriller, which he cites as his all-time favorite album.
In the post, the French producer also reveals that Quincy Jones spoke fluent French and they enjoyed speaking in the language upon meeting. Guetta says, “I had the honor of meeting Quincy, notably at the Grammys @recordingacademy, where we even had the chance to speak in French, a language he mastered so beautifully. Those moments will stay with me forever. Thank you, Quincy, for all you’ve given us. Your legacy will continue to inspire generations of artists to come.
