Disclosure has returned with British-Gambian rapper Pa Salieu for an exciting new single. King Steps marks a dark new direction for the duo, continuing their run of pulsing singles.

Opening with a subtle array of synths, voices, and light percussion, Disclosure eases listeners into the bass-heavy, Ragga vibes that define the bulk of the new single. Galavanting across the impressive foundation, Pa Salieu quickly takes over, his powerful vocals and rhymes shining across the entire track. Guy Howard discusses the release, “We’re excited to continue showcasing the darker, harder side of our sound with “King Steps.” UK Garage has always been a core influence in our music, and it’s incredible to see its impact growing so much over the past year. Collaborating with Pa Salieu—who’s delivering some of the best music coming out of the UK right now—makes it the perfect time to release this track.”

The heavy bass and pulsing percussion make this infectious and club-worthy all at once, infecting every second of the track with pure energy. Pa Salieu’s excitement is clear when he says, “I’m an Afrikan Alien, and I know that garage music isn’t a genre people might expect me to jump on- but that’s what being an alien is about, moving from planet to planet, sound to sound. I stepped into Disclosure’s world and together we created an atmosphere that blends where we’re both coming from.  That is true collaboration.” As Disclosure continues to grow its incredible catalog, King Steps marks a new high water mark for a duo that continuously raises the bar for themselves.
