Ragga Twins member Deman Rockers left bedbound after accident
The Ragga Twins have been legends throughout the UK jungle and ragga scene. Now one of the members, Deman Rockers, finds himself in need of medical care and the music industry is reaching out to provide help.
Formed by brothers David Destouche aka Deman Rockers and Flinty Badman, The Ragga Twins have played an intricate part in the rise of jungle and ragga not only within the UK but worldwide. The duo has been featured on works from the likes of Skrillex, Sammy Virji, and many others throughout their storied career. Unfortunately, after falling a fall outside his home, Rockers was hospitalized and doctors discovered a longstanding condition that affected his spine and limited mobility. Surgery was promptly carried out but the artist has been left bedridden and with mounting costs.
In hopes of providing support and care for Deman Rockers, The Last Night A Dj Saved My Life Foundation has begun a fundraiser with 31% of the requested funds raised at the time of this writing. Alongside the fundraiser, a 14-hour event will also be held on December 21st at Brixton Jamm in London. Aptly titled A Dance for Deman Rockers, tickets are currently on sale and the event will feature performances from Brockie, Nicky Blackmarket, Dub Pistols, Serial Killaz, General Levy, Kaya Fyah & Jessi G-Shellz, DJ SS, Prototypes, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, Ray Keith, Mampi Swift, Aries, Uncle Dugs, Y-Zer, Fabio & Grooverider, David Boomah, Remarc, Krucial, Kenny Ken, Jumpin Jack Frost, Charlotte Devaney, Navigator, Det, Toddlah, Illmatika, Moose, Y-Zer, IC3, Funsta, Jackal, David Boomah, Blacka, Enamie, ACMC, Billy Bunter and many more.
