Skrillex announces departure from Atlantic Records after upcoming project
“I can’t help but feel very existential about it all,” says Skrillex in a series of recent tweets that reveal future plans.
In a string of posts on his X account, Skrillex has revealed what his future looks like for his career, dropping a bombshell that he will also be leaving his label Atlantic Records, who he has been tied to since the early days of his career.

Beginning his stream of posts, he started out with a message to the fans stating “Knowing how much you care inspires me every day to be a better person and make better music.” Following this up with current plans for 2025 and beyond, he then said “I’ve never felt more inspired and in lockstep with my intentions as an artist. As im nearing completion of my next work and my final project for Atlantic records I can’t help but feel very existential about it all.”

Towards the start of 2023, he had also posted the names of upcoming projects ‘SKRLX‘ and ‘CONTRA‘ alongside his previously dropped albums ‘Quest For Fire‘ & ‘Don’t Get Too Close‘, which fans have been speculating for a long time that these are the names of the next two albums waiting to be released. Alongside a previous dump of IDs on his Instagram Stories, its clear that there’s a lot of new music to be released.
