Sofi Tukker released a remix pack for ‘Bread’: Listen
American duo Sofi Tukker has released a remix pack for their single “Bread”
The duo of Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern are back with a remix pack. They have just released a remix pack for their single ‘Bread’ from their album released in August.
About the original
The legendary American duo SOFI TUKKER released their latest album “Bread” at the end of August. The album, which combines electronic beats with 10 tracks, is an acronym for “Be Really Energetic And Dance”, according to the duo. This LP is named after the opening track, which was unveiled back in May this year and has already been ringing up their upcoming playlist. Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern are currently on tour, and will be performing in Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and Italy in late November and early December. And now, as another surprise, they have released an EP called “Bread: The Remixes”, which features some very interesting tracks. However, it doesn’t take a look at the whole album as “Bread”, but just the single. The duo released this set on Friday, 22 November, under their own independent label, which Virgin Music Group is distributing.
About the remixes
“Bread: The Remixes” features two remixes and the original single. Odd Mob, a DJ and producer from Brisbane, Australia, opens the initial remix. He created a tech house cover that’s a really energetic reinterpretation of the original, fully following his own style. Then the second remix was brought to us by Swedish electronic music producer Armand Darius Anders Jakobsson, better known as DJ Seinfeld. Seinfeld had a more club sound in mind, which certainly ties in very well with Soph’s vocals. Both remixes add a somewhat authentic experience to the inherently great song, so they’re definitely worth checking out. Interestingly enough, DJ Seinfeld is working on an album, one of the milestones of which will be the “Hopecore Tour”, a North American tour that will start in January.
