T-Pain and Mark Zuckerberg release acoustic version of ‘Get Low’
T-Pain and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg have released a heartfelt acoustic version of ‘Get Low’, originally by Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz.
Yes, you read that title right! T-Pain took to Instagram to announce that ‘Z-Pain’ has arrived with their very first track, an acoustic cover of ‘Get Low‘ by Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz. Mark Zuckerberg sings soulfully to a delicate strum of guitar along with T-Pain singing harmony. The track is in honor of his wife, Priscilla Chan, as they celebrate their 21st dating anniversary.
“Get Low’ was playing when I first met Priscilla at a college party, so every year we listen to it on our dating anniversary,” Zuckerberg wrote in his post on Instagram. “This year I worked with @tpain on our own version of this lyrical masterpiece. Sound on for the track and also available on Spotify. Love you P ❤️”
“21 years later I can’t get quite as low, but it brings back a lot of fond memories”, Priscilla Chan says in an Instagram Stories response to the serenade.
In a comment from a Meta spokesperson, they state, “Mark and Priscilla are celebrating their 21st dating anniversary. He continues to lower the bar when it comes to gifts for her.”
“Happy anniversary! Thanks for letting me be a part of this 🔥,” T-Pain commented on Zuckerberg’s Instagram post.
Zuckerberg met Chan at a frat party in 2003 which is around the time “Get Low” was at the height of its popularity. This was also the same era in which Zuckerberg had launched “Facemash,” one of the early versions of Facebook, which ranked the attractiveness of Harvard students. When Chan first met Zuckerberg in a bathroom line at that party, she assumed Zuckerberg was getting kicked out because of the site, then the rest is history.
