The Grammys reveal full list of 2025 nominees
The Grammys have officially announced the full nomination list for their 2025 slate.
It is the most prestigious award in music, the Grammys. Each year, artists in every genre dream of the possibility that their name gets put on the list of categories for music’s highest honor. Now, the time has come for those artists to celebrate as the Grammys have officially announced the nominations for 2025.
There are familiar faces riddled throughout this year’s nomination list, including Beyoncé, with 11 bringing her total nominations to 99, which is now the most all time. Charlie XCX, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, and Post Malone all ended up with seven nominations a piece. Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and Taylor Swift were next in line with six each. The four biggest categories for Grammys are recognized as Record Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Best New Artist.
The nominations for Record Of The Year include ‘Now and Then’ by The Beatles, ‘TEXAS HOLD ‘EM’ by Beyoncé, ‘Espresso’ by Sabrina Carpenter, ‘360’ by Charlie XCX, ‘BIRDS OF A FEATHER’ by Billie Eilish, ‘Not Like Us’ by Kendrick Lamar, ‘Good Luck, Babe!’ by Chappell Roan, and ‘Fortnight’ by Taylor Swift featuring Post Malone. The Album Of The Year follows the same pattern as André 3000 was nominated for New Blue Sun, Beyoncé for COWBOY CARTER, Sabrina Carpenter for Short n’ Sweet, Charlie XCX for BRAT, Jacob Collier for Djesse Vol. 4, Billie Eilish for HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, Chappell Roan for Chappell Roan The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess, and Taylor Swift for The Tortured Poets Department. The Song Of The Year nominees include ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ by Shaboozey, ‘BIRDS OF A FEATHER’ by Billie Eilish, ‘Die With A Smile’ by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, ‘Fortnight’ by Taylor Swift featuring Post Malone, ‘Good Luck, Babe!’ by Chappell Roan, ‘Not Like Us’ by Kendrick Lamar, ‘Please Please Please’ by Sabrina Carpenter, and ‘TEXAS HOLD ‘EM’ by Beyoncé. Lastly, the Best New Artist nominees include Benson Boone, Sabrina Carpenter, Doechii, Khruangbin, Raye, Chappell Roan, Shaboozey, and Teddy Swims.
When it comes to the electronic music category, there are some prestigious names as well. The Best Dance/Electronic Recording nominees include ‘She’s Gone, Dance On’ by Disclosure, ‘Loved’ by Four Tet, ‘leavemealone’ by Fred Again.. and Baby Keem, ‘Neverender’ by Justice and Tame Impala, and ‘Witchy’ by KAYTRANADA with Childish Gambino. The Best Dance Pop Recording selections include ‘Make You Mine’ by Madison Beer, ‘Von Dutch’ by Charlie XCX, ‘L’AMOUR DE ME VIE [OVER NOW EXTENDED EDIT]’ by Billie Eilish, ‘yes, and?’ by Ariana Grande, and ‘Got Me Started’ by Troye Sivan. The Grammys also give out nominations for Best Remixed Recording, which includes KAYTRANADA’s remix of ‘Alter Ego’ from Doechii and JT, David Guetta’s remix of ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ from Shaboozey, Mark Ronson and FNZ’s remix of Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Espresso,’ Alexx Antaeus and Footsteps & MrMyish’s remix of ‘Jah See Them’ from Julian Marley and Antaeus, and A.G. Cook’s remix of Charlie XCX’s ‘Von Dutch’ featuring Addison Rae. Lastly, the Best Dance/Electronic Album nominee list includes BRAT from Charlie XCX, Three from Four Tet, Hyperdrama from Justice, TIMELESS from KAYTRANADA, and Telos from Zedd.
