Alesso cancels upcoming Australia and Saudi Arabia shows amid health concerns
The Swedish dance music icon Alesso has announced on his social media that his upcoming shows in Australia and Saudi Arabia will not take place due to health concerns. One of those shows also includes his eagerly-awaited b2b set with Martin Garrix.
Alesso took to his Instagram to issue a concerning announcement regarding his upcoming tour dates. The Swedish giant was supposed to travel to Saudi Arabia and Australia for a couple of shows. One of those shows included the monumental b2b set together with the new #1 DJ in the world, Martin Garrix. Fans were hoping that the back-2-back set between the 2 heavyweights would bring back their unreleased collaboration Inside Our Hearts from 2023 into the set tracklists again. Instead, Alesso had to cancel his tour of Australia and Saudi Arabia due to his latest health concerns.
Alesso’s shows “down under” in Australia and under the Saudi Arabian sun included the Palm Tree Festival in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane as well as MDL Beast Soundstorm in Riyadh. Palm Tree Festival has already managed to replace Alesso with Peking Duk, the native electronic duo from Canberra. When Alesso took to Instagram to clarify the situation he mentioned:
“I regret to announce that I must cancel my upcoming shows in Australia and Saudi Arabia due to a recent health issue combined with overexertion. My doctor has advised me to take some time to rest and recover to ensure I can continue creating and performing at my best for all of you.”
The Swedish icon also mentioned that this was the first time in his 14 years of touring that he had to make such a drastic choice. As always, he thanked for the unwavering support of his fans, friends, and colleagues.
Consequently, if Alesso’s recovery finishes in the best way possible, he is set to return to the stage on the 29th of December when he will perform at Sunburn Festival in India. For his last show of the year, he will hit San Bernardino, California for Decadence NYE.
We wish Alesso a speedy recovery and we hope to see him doing what he does best as soon as possible.
