Alok and Clementine Douglas have released a new club release called Body Talk.
Like almost every Alok track, “Body Talk” is a club-style release. For the Brazilian DJ and producer, this is his first collaboration with Clementine Douglas. The song was released on 6 December 2024 on Columbia/B1 Recordings. Interesting fact, but Clementine won the “Dance Vocalist of the Year” at the BBC Radio 1 Dance Awards in 2022. No wonder, as her vocals have been featured on many great electronic music tracks in recent years. The British singer has worked with, for example, The Blessed Madonna, Duke Dumont, Hannah Wants, and also with Sonny Fodera in their collaboration Asking, which brought her breakthrough success. Clementine Douglas also collaborated with MEDUZA and Ferreck Dawn in December 2023 on “I Got Nothing”, released on Defected Records.
“Grateful to be doing what I love everyday! Thank you to everyone listening 🌻🧡”, shared Clementine Douglas on her social media on release day.
And the collaboration between Alok and Clementine Douglas is a really interesting one, which will be a highlight of the December publications. Alok’s masterful production sense is evident on the song, putting a powerful dance sound on the lead. The strong beats take the production in a club-style direction, but the synths and great effects reinforce this even more. To add to this, Clementine’s emotive and powerful vocals build up nicely, combining the phrasing of “Body Talk”. The song comes after Alok received two nominations at the 2024 Latin GRAMMY Music Awards. The nominations were in a new category ‘Latin Electronic Music Performance’, which included an interview with Enrique Santos, where he also talked about his upcoming projects.
