The former President of the United States, Barack Obama, has released his top songs of 2024, including tracks from Billie Eilish, Beyoncé, Hozier, Kendrick Lamar, and Shaboozey. 

It’s the list that many anticipate to be released at the end of each year to dissect and analyze the choices. The list that can sway an artist’s Spotify listens in a positive way. It is the former President of the United States, Barack Obama’s favorite songs of the year list for 2024. A holiday staple since he was in office from 2008 to 2016, Barack Obama has shined a spotlight on a wide range of artists from mainstream to indie. A list that is highly respected by many music savants, this year is no different as there are some incredible songs highlighted. 

The list is titled Barack Obama’s Favorite Music of 2024, It includes genres such as hip-hop, indie, country, rock, pop, R&B, and folk. Starting with arguably the most successful artist of the year, ‘Squabble Up’ by Kendrick Lamar, off his latest album ‘GNX’ made the list. Followed by ‘Lunch’ from Billie Eilish, ‘Yayo’ by Rema, and ‘Jump’ with Tyla, Gunna, and Skillibeng. Also included on the list is the rising European hip-hop star Central Cee’s collaboration with Lil Baby, ‘BAND4BAND.’ You will also see ‘God Gave Me Feet for Dancing’ by Ezra Collective and Yazmin Lacey, ‘Favourite’ by Fontaines D.C., and ‘Active’ by Asake and Travis Scott. 

One of the most popular social media tracks of the year, ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ by country music’s fastest-growing artist, Shaboozey, made the cut. Also included is ‘Old Dutch’ by Bonny Light Horseman, ‘Is It Worth It’ by Rae Khalil, ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ by Beyonce, ‘Kehlani’ by Jordan Adetunji, ‘I Like The Way You Kiss Me’ by Artemas, ‘Scooter Blues’ Johnny Blue Skies, ‘Too Sweet’ by Hozier. Finishing off the list is ‘Peaceful Place’ by Leon Bridges, ‘Million Dollar Baby’ by Tommy Richman, ‘Right Back To It’ by Waxahatchee & MJ Lenderman, ‘Stargazing’ by Myles Smith, ‘That’s How I’m Feeling’ by Jack White, ‘Gold Coast’ by Moses Sumney, ‘Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido’ by Karol G, and lastly ‘Gata Only’ by FloyyMenor & Cris MJ.
