Taking a look at the most iconic dance tracks with 1 billion streams
Streaming numbers have largely replaced record sales and platinum plaques as the music industry evolves. With that said, fans are streaming dance music at high levels and it is worth celebrating some of the most iconic to surpass the 1 billion mark.
This past week, the Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd celebrated reaching 1 billion streams on their collaboration, Moth To A Flame. While this is common ground for The Weeknd, within the dance music community, the achievement is more exclusive. The team at We Rave You is looking at some of the classic singles and counting down to the track with the most streams. For now, the list begins with the recent inclusion of Moth To A Flame at number 79 and covers hits such as Levels by Avicii at number 75, Roses from The Chainsmokers and Rozes at 66, and Calvin Harris’ iconic hit Feels So Good at 60.
With much more to go, the first 19 spots already unveiled massive global hits from some of the biggest names in the industry. As fans get to revisit these iconic tracks, the comments on the Instagram post reveal incredible excitement over those still to come. Legendary global smashes such as Lean On, Animals, and Titanium are still to come, and with 59 more spots to be revealed, there is plenty of dance music still to go. Be sure to check out part one of this special look at the top dance tracks with over 1 billion streams now on the We Rave You Instagram page.
