deadmau5 brings new life to ‘Strobe’ with 2024 remix EP: Listen
deadmau5 has unveiled a fresh twist on his iconic track “Strobe” with the release of the Strobe (2024 Remixes) EP. Available today, December 13, via mau5trap, the three-track collection features remixes by Victor Ruiz, OddKidOut, and the previously released Layton Giordani 15th-anniversary remix.
Victor Ruiz, the Lisbon-based techno producer, delivers a powerful, elevating reinterpretation of the classic. Reflecting on the opportunity, Ruiz shared, “deadmau5 has been one of the biggest influences in my career… remixing [‘Strobe’] was a true honor and a massive personal milestone.” His remix adds a driving techno energy that complements the original’s melodic depth.
Adding to the EP, the Layton Giordani remix, which debuted earlier this fall, has already gained notable recognition. It ranked among the 100 most-played tracks during the global music industry event ADE.
This release continues a stellar run of remixes from deadmau5’s extensive catalog. Recent reworks include the Jaded EP, featuring Volaris’ spin on “Jaded”, Jauz’ remix of “Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff”, John Summit’s update of “I Remember”, and Rebuke’s version of “Not Exactly.”
The Strobe (2024 Remixes) EP showcases deadmau5’s enduring influence and his music’s adaptability, connecting classic sounds with modern interpretations for both longtime fans and new listeners. Listen to the track on Spotify or via your preferred platform here.
