Acting as the leading electronic music event within the metaverse, we will be taking a look back into Decentraland Music Festival’s fourth edition, the success it achieved and the key highlights that made this event one for the books.

Combining the real and virtual world in the most immersive of manners, Decentraland Music Festival successfully hosted its fourth edition on the 20th till the 23rd of November, 2024, with the event uniting both dance music and metaverse enthusiasts on one joint platform, and in turn, providing them with the most unique of experiences. Acting as the first major event to go live on their groundbreaking desktop client, DCLMF24 allowed users to access a whole new digital world of its own, with a vast-array of brand new features, game-changing enhanced performances, and of course, a star-studded electronic music lineup, that made this event one for the ages.

Taking a wider look into the event itself, DCLMF24 saw an average time spent at the festival per individual at the 138 minute mark, whilst over 6,700 Wearable and Emote NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens) were minted throughout this four-day event within the metaverse. Hosting exclusive panels with music industry experts also gained traction amongst attendees, as over 14 thousand views were received, whilst each of these panels can now also be found on their official YouTube page. Additionally, headliners San Holo and 33 Below released their exclusive set performances through their label, Coop Records, providing us all with a further glimpse into this truly immersive experience, one that also featured light shows and mechanical arms on stage, offering a 3D experience like no other.

The ultimate of electronic music events within the metaverse, DCLMF24 was most certainly one for the books, with the 3D virtual world-browser based platform delivering their best edition to date. From its breathtaking intergalactic theme, to boasting a lineup that any festival would envy, the event allowed users to truly immerse themselves in the endless capabilities that technological advancements provide in this day and age, whilst at the same time, attendees were also able to interact with the DJs during their performances, as over 41 thousand chat messages were sent throughout the event, making for a truly unique music festival experience.
