Fred again.. has unveiled two more days, featuring two fresh tracks that conclude his critically acclaimed album, Ten Days. This release includes ‘light dark light’ with Angie McMahon and ‘little mystery’, inspired by John Martyn’s music.

The track ‘light dark light’ reimagines Angie McMahon’s ‘Making It Through’. Fred, who previously sampled Angie’s work in 2021 on ‘Angie (I’ve Been Lost)’, recorded an audio clip during one of Angie’s sold-out shows in London last June and added it to the track. Angie’s ‘Making It Through’, the closing track of her album Light, Dark, Light Again, carries a poignant message. Reflecting on the song’s meaning, Angie shared, “Just as feelings and experiences rise and fall, ebb and flow, the message here is that everything we feel is beautiful, difficult, and as it should be.”

The second track, ‘little mystery’, pays tribute to John Martyn’s ‘Sweet Little Mystery’. Fred first teased the song during his Studio Live 3 broadcast in November 2022. Fred explained its significance on Instagram, saying, “Little Mystery sorta started the Ten Days chapter, so it felt right to me that this is the last song I put out from that chapter.”

With two more days, Fred closes the Ten Days chapter while paying homage to artists who have inspired him. Fans can now experience this final piece of a journey marked by heartfelt connections and transformative reinterpretations. Stream the track on Spotify below or via your preferred platform here.
