Tiësto drops commercial electro remix of Sevdaliza’s hit ‘Alibi’: Listen
Sevdaliza, the acclaimed Iranian-Dutch artist, teams up with electronic dance music icon Tiësto for an electrifying remix of her global hit ‘Alibi.’ This collaboration bridges two generations of Dutch musical excellence, blending Sevdaliza’s genre-defying artistry with Tiësto’s unmistakable influence on electronic music worldwide.
The remix, titled ‘Alibi (Tiësto Remix),’ reimagines the original track with Tiësto’s signature high-energy beats and expert production. Already a cultural phenomenon, the original version of ‘Alibi’ boasts over 600 million streams, a month-long stay on the Billboard Hot 100, and an impressive 20 weeks on the Billboard Global 200. It also claimed the #1 spot on Shazam and TikTok, solidifying its status as one of the year’s top songs on both platforms. With this remix, Tiësto amplifies the song’s cross-cultural appeal, creating an even more dynamic and powerful anthem.
“Tiësto’s energy brings ‘Alibi’ into a new dimension,” Sevdaliza shares. “Together, we’ve created something for the dancers.”
The original track, a multilingual masterpiece, showcases Sevdaliza’s English verses, a Spanish chorus, and additional vocals in French by Yseult and Portuguese by Pabllo Vittar. By seamlessly merging four languages, ‘Alibi’ highlights a rich tapestry of cultural influences. Tiësto’s remix builds on this foundation, pushing the track’s boundary-breaking themes even further and reinforcing its message of unity and resilience.
This release follows Sevdaliza’s collaboration with Karol G on ‘No Me Cansaré,’ which debuted on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart. Last month, Sevdaliza also made her US television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and attended the CFDA Awards in New York. These achievements further solidify her position as a global music powerhouse. Stream the track below on Spotify or via your preferred platform here.
