Tycho unveils new EP ‘Where You Are’ featuring Cautious Clay: Listen
Tycho has capped off an exciting year with the release of their latest EP, ‘Where You Are’, now available through Mom + Pop in the U.S. and Ninja Tune internationally. Furthermore, this six-track collection includes the standout single ‘Infinite Health (Feat. Cautious Clay)’, a fresh rendition of the title track from Tycho’s 2024 album ‘Infinite Health’. Featuring vocals from Blue Note artist Cautious Clay.
Originally crafted as an instrumental, Scott Hansen of Tycho developed the track ‘Infinite Health’ with the intent to reflect physical and emotional well-being. After collaborating with Cautious Clay, the vocal version evolved into something distinct, warranting a separate release. Hansen explained, “To positively impact those around you, you need to prioritize both physical and emotional health. Music has always served as a source of healing for me, and I hope my work offers the same for others.”
Cautious Clay added, “This song draws inspiration from meditation, breath work, and psilocybin’s benefits. The instrumental Scott sent me, already titled ‘Infinite Health’, guided my lyrics toward themes of growth and renewal.”
‘Where You Are’ follows Tycho’s seventh album, ‘Infinite Health’, which debuted earlier this year. Co-produced with Grizzly Bear’s Chris Taylor and guitarist Zac Brown, the album marked a return to Tycho’s electronic roots while embracing fresh creative directions. Tracks like ‘Phantom’, ‘Green’, and ‘Devices’ received praise for their nostalgic and introspective tones, with accompanying videos available on YouTube.
Looking ahead, Tycho is preparing for a busy 2025 with a North American tour starting January 8 in Florida, followed by international dates across Japan, Europe, and the UK. They will also headline major events like Viva El Gonzo in Mexico and SeaBisco Alaska. Visit tychomusic.com/tour for ticket information and updates.
