Alison Wonderland speaks out on her recent show cancellations, addressing online criticism and sharing a heartfelt plea for understanding what she’s going through.

Alison Wonderland has always been known for her candid connection with fans, but the DJ and producer recently shared an emotional post addressing the backlash she’s faced after three show cancellations in December 2024. In a heartfelt message on X, she explained the circumstances behind the cancellations, urging fans to be more understanding during what has been an incredibly difficult time for her.

Alison revealed that she had to leave Asia for emergency surgery, followed by a serious illness that left her bedridden with a high fever for days. “The main complaints are coming from Hijinx,” she noted, acknowledging fans’ frustration over her absence. However, she emphasised that the decision to cancel shows wasn’t made lightly. “Trust me, I was not happy about it,” she said, adding that her recent cancellations came after an already tumultuous period, including previous cancellations during COVID-19 and dealing with shingles.

While Alison expressed empathy for disappointed fans, she also shared her surprise at the level of online harassment she’s endured. “I was really surprised by the amount of hate and harassment I have gotten since,” she wrote, referring to constant criticism across Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.

Acknowledging the rave community’s core values of peace, love, unity, and respect (PLUR), Alison made a heartfelt plea for understanding. “What I am dealing with in my private life right now is painful enough,” she wrote. She also hinted at sharing more about her surgery in the future but admitted she’s still processing it herself. For now, her focus remains on healing and her music.

Here’s hoping Alison takes all the time she needs to recover and continues to bless us with her incredible music. 💙
