Native Instruments is enhancing its NKS (Native Kontrol Standard) compatibility across major keyboard controller brands, improving music production workflows for creators.

NAMM 2025 announcements have been running in hot and one of the highlights of this year is the new compatibility announcement by Akai and Native Instruments. Native Instruments has expanded NKS compatibility with some of the top music brands. The expanded partnerships include:

  • Akai Professional: NKS support for MPK Mini Series. Coming soon to the MPK 249MPK Mini MK3MPK Mini Play, and MPK Mini Plus!
  • Novation: Integration for Launchkey MK3/MK4, FLkey, and SL MK3 controllers
  • Nektar: NKS compatibility for LX MK3 keyboards
  • Korg: Enhanced MIDI 2.0 Keystage controller integration
  • M-Audio: NKS support for current Oxygen Series keyboards

Native Instruments is deepening its partnership with Akai Professional, introducing extensive integration and content for the MPC platform. The collaborative partnership features five MPC Expansions with one-shots, samples, and FX chains along with five MPC Play Edition instruments.
