Pet Shop Boys to release ‘Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live’ on Blu-ray/CD
Pet Shop Boys will release ‘Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live at the Royal Arena Copenhagen’ on Blu-ray/CD on May 2, 2025. This package brings their acclaimed concert film, originally screened worldwide in 2024 by Trafalgar Releasing, to home audiences.
Filmed during their ‘Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live’ tour, the concert features a visually stunning production and a setlist packed with classics such as ‘West End Girls’, ‘Suburbia’, ‘Opportunities (Let’s Make Lots of Money)’, and ‘It’s a Sin’. The performance was recorded at Royal Arena in Copenhagen in July 2023 using a 14-camera 4K setup, ensuring an immersive experience. Directed by David Barnard, the film includes PCM Stereo and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround mix, produced by David Barnard and Mike Woolley. Fans can pre-order the Blu-ray/CD here.
The release aligns with the 40th anniversary of Pet Shop Boys’ first record. Their ‘Dreamworld’ tour, their first-ever greatest hits tour, has captivated audiences across the UK, Europe, and the Americas.
Beyond the tour, Pet Shop Boys continue their legacy as the most successful UK duo, with over 50 million records sold and 60 singles spanning five decades. In April 2024, they released their fifteenth studio album, ‘Nonetheless’, produced by James Ford. It debuted at No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart, marking their highest-charting studio album since 1993. A special edition, released in November, included bonus tracks and demos, as well as a cover of David Bowie’s ‘All the Young Dudes’.
Their tour concluded with a sold-out residency at London’s Royal Opera House, earning five-star reviews. They also delivered three high-profile UK TV performances in 2023, headlining BBC Radio 2’s ‘Party in the Park’, appearing at the MTV EMAs, and performing on two consecutive episodes of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
