Amelie Lens and Charlotte de Witte release ‘One Mind EP’: Listen

While the resurgence of techno has been exciting for music fans worldwide, the emergence of Amelie Lens and Charlotte de Witte, as both producers and ambassadors for the genre has helped propel it even further. Both stars are leaders in redefining the next era of the genre while also building a strong foundation for future artists through their respective labels and brands. Ahead of a run of b2b shows, after much speculation and hope amongst fans, both producers finally revealed that they would be releasing a collaborative project to celebrate the moment. Featuring two brand new songs, the One Mind EP is finally on streaming and showcases the talents that have elevated both artists in recent years.

Having delivered their highly anticipated back-to-back sets last weekend, techno fans finally have a collaborative record between Amelie Lens and Charlotte de Witte. The release was revealed just over a week ago just before the start of their shows in Ghent.

Opening with the album’s title track, One Mind begins with a woman whispering, complete with reverb and effects to set the mood before the driving hit of the kick drum and percussion comes in. Every few measures, Lens and de Witte build upon the track until the voice clearly says, “One mind. Infinite,” as the track races forward. The pair don’t let down on Where Do We Go, this time opening with percussion and pulsing synths, and again utilizing female vocals to engage the listeners. With such anticipation from fans, this was surely a pressure-filled situation for Amelie Lens and Charlotte de Witte, but like all their other endeavors, they again proved why they deserve their place atop the genre.
