John Summit and Dom Dolla held a pop-up show in the middle of the famed Bourbon St. in New Orleans this past weekend for Super Bowl LIX that saw thousands of fans fill the area and shut down after only 30 minutes.

It’s the biggest day in American football, the Super Bowl. However, for the city that has the honor of hosting the prestigious game, it is more than just one day. For an entire week, the Super Bowl makes its host city an entertainment hub where unique events are held around the area each day. This year, Super Bowl LIX was held in the historic city of New Orleans. Being one of the music capitals of the United States, it is only fitting that one of the most talked about events of the weekend came in the form of a b2b from two of the biggest DJs in the world, John Summit and Dom Dolla.

In a complete surprise, the two took to social media over the weekend that they were both in New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX and would hold a pop-up show in the heart of the city, in the middle of the most famous street in city Bourbon Street. John Summit and Dom Dolla performed on the balcony of the famous Royal Sonesta hotel that overlooks the street. Word quickly got out and thousands began to pack the street from each direction to see the pairing work their magic. At one point, some of the biggest names in business came to see the party, including famed Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Unfortunately, only about 30 minutes into the set, the area became so packed that it became a safety hazard, and security forced the two to shut the show down. The pop-up set became one of the most talked-about moments of the entire Super Bowl week and put into perspective just how massive the superstardom of John Summit and Dom Dolla is.
