Mochakk unveils two track EP ‘From The Stars’ on Ninja Tune: Listen

“It’s completely bananas to release on Ninja. It’s one of those stamp-of-approval moments,” says Mochakk on finding a home for his new ‘From The Stars’ EP.

Emerging as one of Brazil’s most loved producers of the moment, the energetic Mochakk has reached another personal career high, this time by hosting his own EP release on legendary label Ninja Tune. Titled ‘From The Stars‘, it is comprised of both the title track and another offering, ‘Maria‘. Both different from each other, it showcases the flexibility of the producer when it comes to his soundscape and ability to make his sound stretch in all directions.

“It’s completely bananas to release on Ninja. It’s one of those stamp-of-approval moments. It’s such a respected label for years where so many great albums and singles were released from artists I’ve listened to for years. It feels unreal,” he says. “I really enjoyed that they chose two very different tracks for that EP.”

‘From The Stars’ takes from The Rah Band classic ‘Messages From The Stars,’ where Mochakk has updated it for the modern electronic generation, turning it into an irresistible disco house vibe which perfectly blends nostalgia with modernity. On the other hand, ‘Maria’ (originally debuted during his Cercle set in 2023) is a masterclass in minimal yet hypnotic sonics with a touch of UK sound inspiration, that takes fans on a true musical journey.
