Emergence Audio

With each new release, emerging DJ and producer TONG continues to grow and expand her sound. Kicking off 2025, she delivers a groovy house anthem baked with a dose of hip-hop energy.

The Chinese-born Los Angeles transplant burst onto the scene in 2022 when TONG won the EDC Orlando Discovery Project with her remix of Matoda’s Gimme Some Keys. Since then, she has continuously delivered fresh releases and productions on storied labels such as Insomniac, Hexagon, and Toolroom. Last year, she again showcased her incredible remix skills, winning a Toolroom competition and an official remix for an Essel track. For the new year, she delivers a fresh single, Is It Real?, where she combines hip-hop and house music.

Bursting with energy from the start, Is It Real? allows TONG to flex her creative muscles and deliver a genre-defying single that is as infectious as it is groovy. The topline samples provide an edge and grit that are sure to turn up any club or festival ground. Contrasted with the smooth house production underneath, the song feels both fresh as well as nostalgic, harking back to the hip-hop of the early 90s without sounding dated. With her career still relatively fresh, TONG is showing that her skills extend far beyond her years.

Check out Is It Real? out now.
