You Liang unveils captivating new single ‘Wings’ alongside CIIMERA: Listen

Envisioning the intense but yet captivating sounds of the Japanese hard dance scene, You Liang kick-starts 2025 in the most scintillating of manners, as she releases ‘Wings.’ Oozing with energy from start to finish, the Tokyo-based DJ/Producer and vocalist leaves no doubt to the imagination, whilst the addition of CIIMERA, makes for a collaboration that most certainly cannot go amiss.

Paving her own way within the dance scene, You Liang’s journey towards music production has been nothing short of spectacular. From the exploration of musical harmony and structure, to transitioning into the harder sounds that ultimately lead to the artist that she is today, You Liang has set the standards to the highest of levels, whilst her genre-blending capabilities, allow her to stand out from all the rest. Finding that missing piece that ignited ‘Wings’ to its core, You Liang has stated the following on the production of the track, and of course the impact CIIMERA has had on the end product;

“‘Wings’ is a special track that truly embodies the spirit of collaboration. I started with the first half, drawing inspiration from the sounds of the Japanese hard dance scene. When CIIMERA joined, he gave it a fresh twist with a new melody and drop in the second half, adding his own unique touch. The vocal sample in the build-up — ‘From New York, Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Tokyo, we all groove’ — perfectly captures the global connection behind our music. The journey to finishing this track wasn’t easy—it took six months, with countless ideas exchanged across time zones. I first pitched it to Oliver West (POINT BLVNK) in July last year, and they introduced me to CIIMERA, kicking off this incredible creative process. Despite our packed schedules, we made it happen, and looking back, it honestly feels like a small miracle. Seeing it all come together now, I couldn’t be more excited to finally share ‘Wings’ with the world!”
