Afterlife Mexico City cancelled due to technical and licensing issues
Thanks to the recent success of Anyma, the Afterlife brand has become one of the most respected and revered in the dance music community. Unfortunately for fans in Mexico City, plans to host a two-day festival were recently scrapped.
Early this year, Afterlife revealed plans to bring its unique tech-house productions and incredible visuals to festivals in Mexico City and Barcelona. The events would serve the continued rise of Anyma and his solo career following his incredible residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, as well as showcase his Tale of Us partner and label co-founder MRAK throughout the event. Unfortunately, with less than two months to go until the gates were supposed to open in Mexico City, the organizer has announced that the festival has been canceled.
Citing technical and licensing issues, the team behind the event, Zamna, has revealed that they could not find solutions to their issues, and the event will no longer take place. In their message, which was delivered in Spanish and English on Instagram, ticket holders were told they would immediately be refunded their ticket price as well as any additional fees. Those with further questions can reach out to Reembolsosafterlife@fullpass.com.mx for more information. As unfortunate as this is for fans in the region, hopefully, the planned Barcelona event, set for June 13 & 14, will still go on.
