Ash Pournouri: “Lies and false accusations by certain individuals continue with the aim of causing me harm and to profit from a tragedy”

“I have endured a false external narrative which, out of respect for Tim’s memory and family, I have actively chosen not to engage in,” says Ash Pournouri, former manager of Avicii.

Many different narratives have been spun since Avicii unfortunately passed away in 2018. With different members of his team telling their own stories through social media posts and even documentaries, such as the recent one on Netflix, about what happened, Ash Pournouri is the latest to put out a statement.

Between 2008-2016, Ash Pournouri managed Avicii and his career, being by his side for the biggest parts of his career. Over the years, he has stayed silent about his involvement regarding the producer’s death but has now put out his own statement. On LinkedIn and his social media pages, Ash posted the following:

Enough is enough. In a recent interview focusing on my current business ventures and what I have focused all my energy on building back up, I confirmed that the past few years have been hell for me and my family. I have endured a false external narrative which, out of respect for Tim’s memory and family, I have actively chosen not to engage in. That courtesy has not been extended to me. Lies and false accusations by certain individuals continue with the aim of causing me harm and to profit from a tragedy. Consequently, I have been left with no other choice but to file lawsuits with the main objective for the lies to stop and the facts to be known, once and for all. I will not make any further comments regarding this matter and will put my trust in the legal proceedings.“
