Calvin Harris teases new single on Instagram stories

With a massive back catalog of chart-topping hits, Calvin Harris is one of the most prolific producers of the 21st century. Just over a week after releasing his first new music of the year, he took to social media to tease another track.

Throughout his career, Calvin Harris has never been afraid of change. After gaining acclaim for his gritty house productions on his first two albums, he switched things up on his third, bringing in A-list singers and producing massive radio hits. Since then, he again pivoted his sound in recent years on his Funk Wav Bounce projects before turning to frequent collaborator Ellie Goulding for his return to pure electornic music. More recently, he shared the new single Smoke The Pain Away, venturing into an acoustic-folk-electronica style similar to that of Avicii. These wide influences make his releases somewhat unpredictable but his talent is second to none and now he seems to be teasing yet another new track.

Taking to Instagram, Harris shared a story inside his own studio as music blasted through the speakers. Despite the somewhat filtered sound, a bright pluck melody can clearly be heard, harking back to some of his iconic drops from over a decade ago. As he roughly pans around the room, the track continues to build, with percussion and acoustic guitar adding to the sound. With just a question mark posted on top of the video, it seems as though he is in the middle of his work flow and looking to share the track with fans ahead of its completion.
